Zweig would have done well to heed Thoreaus advice before he impatiently went on before the dawn. "Only that day dawns to which we are awake. There is more day to dawn. The sun is but a morning star."

Wonderful article. I was not familiar with Stefan Zweig but have now added him to my reading list. Coincidentally, I watched Grand Budapest Hotel again recently and learned from Wikipedia that Wes Anderson based much of the movie upon Zweig and Beware of Pity.
